Nyr is what we call a multitalented artist, who has taken his art to many different places. From song writing to producing, Nyr has learned to control those skills only to serve the one he does best, SING.

This Israeli native takes his origin from many different countries around the world from an Indian father and a North African mother, Nyr grew up in a musical family surrounded by musician, his father was a singer and a guitar player during the 60s and 70s. He was the one who encouraged him to sing, at the age of 7 Nyr already knew what he wanted to do.

At that point Nyr would start to sing everywhere he could, in front of small audiences, at family reunions at school and he also did some gigs with his father. He would listen to a lot of records his father would bring home. Nyr grew up listening to Steve Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson and all the RnB and soul music around him which he fell in love with and has dedicated his life for.

In France where Nyr spent most of his childhood, he studied music theory at the National Musical School of Villeurbanne and performed everywhere in the country with many different bands, he had his first experience as a songwriter with his brother Yoram.

In 1998 Nyr decided to make the move to Paris where he was offered to sing in one of the greatest French musicals "Starmania" but he refused it as the musical style wasn't what he wanted to pursue. He also worked for many different artists and musicians such as Organiz, Billy Paul, Honeyz... and with the producer U-Nam.

In 2003 Nyr was contacted by the UK label Cafe de Soul to appear on the compilation "CAFEDESOUL Vol5". Nyr made his first UK appearance at the Blackpool Soul Music Weekender, one of the greatest soul festival in UK where he was well received by the British audience, his first single "Call Me" was played by lots of DJs on several UK and German soul radio stations "Ride wit U" another hit single was also played on BBC Radio1 by Trevor Nelson.

For this album Nyr has collaborate with the songwriter, producer and friend "Guillaume PONCELET" (no Jazz, wise...) for songs such as the Steve wonder inspired "Magical breath" the intense ballad "The only one" he also plays keyboards and trumpets on several tracks.

Great musicians also appear on this album, Jeremy COKE (bass), Remy VOIDE (drums), P.Yves CALVA (guitar) ,Philippe SELLAM(sax),Christophe PANZANI(sax) John KIKOUTA (vocals) Laurent CHAPIN(mix) and Julien BIROT(mix).

After 2 years of hard work Nyr's Debut Album is finally finished. And will come out this fall. Nyr's album is a blend of Soul and R&B with a little taste of Jazz and all the flavors of his influences.
